At 2:00 PM, we begin our next segment of the Ventura County Cultural Heritage Board’s quarterly guest speaker series: Ventura County Chronicles: Fire, Freight & Freeways with historian, storyteller, and seasoned researcher Richard Senate for a captivating lecture on El Camino Real. Richard will guide us along the storied 650‑mile route that once connected the Spanish and Mexican settlements of early California. With his signature blend of vivid narrative and deep historical insight, he will bring to life the travelers, missions, and pivotal moments that shaped this legendary road and the communities that grew along its path.
