ATTENTION: Citizen Access will be unavailable Thursday, October 9 at 5:00 PM to Monday, October 13 at 6:00 AM for scheduled maintenance and updates. We apologize for the inconvenience.

As part of the permitting process, some projects require clearances from multiple agencies. Instead of customers having to visit each agency to obtain their required clearances, Building & Safety will now coordinate most County agency reviews internally, saving you time and helping speed up the permitting process.

Clearances from Public Works Agency, Environmental Health, Planning, Building & Safety, Code Compliance, and Fire can be routed internally. Some clearances from agencies outside of the County may still require customers to contact or visit those agencies directly.

You can view the status of your Agency Clearances through the Citizen Access Portal, including which clearances have been routed and which still require action from you. You can also view notes related to the processing of your permit.

Watch our step-by-step video tutorial to learn how the Agency Clearance process works and how to track your clearances in Citizen Access.
