Alert: Kratom
The Ventura County Environmental Health Division (EHD), in collaboration with Ventura County Public Health (VCPH), is warning the public and retailers about the dangers of kratom-derived Products and 7-OH being sold in retail stores.
Both EHD and VCPH have notified local tobacco retailers and food facilities that the sale and marketing of kratom and 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) products for consumption is illegal in California. This notice to retailers and alert to the public align with recent communications from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC).
